Both Grey Reef and the Miracle Mile saw a little bump in flows, last night. This might throw the fish off just a little for a day or so but after that we should be back on track! Since our last report the fishing has been pretty awesome on Grey Reef, Fremont Canyon and the Miracle Mile. Baetis have been popping, making for some fun light aka “mini rig” nymphing and the occasional dry fly opportunity. The standard nymph has been pretty good as well and the streamer bite has stayed steady to say the least. It has been a really fun start to the month of May!!

Current fishing and conditions:

GREY REEF: 2,590cfs. Clear/mostly clear to Casper and beyond. 3-7ft, indicator to split shot, 1 #4-1 AB. NYMPHS: Leeches(natural,brown or olive), UV leeches, San Juan worm(red or purple) mayhem midge, grey foam-wing RS2, macgruber, juju baetis, Barr’s emerged, big bear baetis, and all day mays. STREAMERS: rusty t, goldie, articulated goldie, butcher.

FREMONT CANYON: 75cfs. Mostly clear. 3-7ft, indicator to split shot, 1-3 BB. Leeches(natural, brown or black), reef worm, brassie, foam-wing RS2, all-day may(black and olive) and mayhem midges.

MIRACLE MILE: 2,500cfs +/-. Mostly clear. 5-7ft, indicator to split shot, 1 BB-1 AB. NYMPHS: Leeches(natural, brown or black), HH leech, san juan(red or wine), orange scud, pheasant tail, and mayhem midge(grey or black), foam-wing RS-2. STREAMERS: rusty t, goldie, peanut envy(black), slayer.
