We have made it through another big Wyoming spring storm. Alcova received significant snow but the wind blew through the entire storm so things were moved around a bunch…bare ground to 5′ drifts. This storm has elevated Wyoming’s snowpack to approx. 95%. This number is far beyond what we could have imagined before last week’s big snow. Needless to say and despite lots of cancelled trip, we are happy for the moisture. Locally, the past 2 storms more than doubled our total winter snowfall. Casper Mountain received over 50″ the past 2.5 days!
We are back in the saddle tomorrow with boats on Grey Reef. Miracle Mile would be a good place to shy away from for the next several days while snow is plowed and roads dry up.
We are licking our wounds with regard to our construction projects. The past 2 weeks have caused big delays in dirt work and concrete. We are teetering right now as to whether we will be able to open the cottages by May 1…not looking so promising.
Water conditions are great right now and we will keep you posted IF they change.
