Central Wyoming Fly Fishing Conditions

Awesome weather! Warm, bluebird and calm with big midge hatches. We expect warm conditions for the next 10 days and the flush will begin one week from last midnight. With these warm conditions the recent snow are melting and conditions below Government Bridge are becoming cloudy. The Upper 8 is in great shape. Yesterday had mixed reports at all venues including Grey Reef, Miracle Mile and Fremont Canyon. Some were into them and others sporadic.

NPL still has some great April options and with this being the 3rd warmest winter on record there will surely be some spectacular fishing. Couple that with the original lodge and the only operation at Grey Reef you will be in for a treat. Not to mention the largest and most experienced full time Grey Reef guide staff, best location and most services available you can’t go wrong.

The Reef Fly Shop, Cottages & RV still has cottage and RV availability but the cottages are getting snatched up quickly. 2 hour primer trips are available on a walk in basis and give you the tools to successfully fish Grey Reef by the time the guide turns you loose. We have drift boat rentals and river shuttles along with gobs of custom patterns and great advice.

Book a guide for the ultimate experience and to enjoy Grey Reef’s largest quantity of private access just for our guests. Don’t hesitate!
