Another gorgeous day here in Alcova, Wyoming!!! 75F, sunny and light winds. The past several days we have had our guides and guests on all three North Platte tailwaters. We are seeing some pretty stout hatches(BWOs and midges) on a daily basis…and the fish are indulging. That being said our top nymph rig on Grey Reef and Fremont has been a reef worm or deep purple followed by a PAL or mayhem trailer. With water temps still hovering in the low 40s on Grey Reef, nymphing has definitely been THE program. As for the Mile, we are doing well nymphing but have had some stellar afternoons swinging and stripping crayfish. If the nymph bite slows down, strip something!
