Fremont has come up. We aren’t sure why but suspect an issue with the power plant has the BuRec diverting the necessary water through the canyon rather than the generators. We will keep you posted as we know more. Fremont has been fishing great with streamers, nymphs and some good dry fly on baetis and midges.
Miracle Mile is also doing well and the streamer bite will improve through November. Nymphs and streamers are the modes of choice with baetis, midges, scuds, worms leeches and stripping Platte River Specials behind a Goldie Locks.
Grey Reef is silly. The dry fly opportunities have us believing Grey Reef is a river that is a customary dry fly spot. Uncanny and fun! Midges, baetis and still some psuedos. Streamer action has been amazing as has the nymphing. Scuds, leeches, baetis and midge patterns all day on the bobber rig with Goldie and a peacock bugger on the strip.
Today was sublime. Calm and warm. What a day to be on the water!
