Gearing up for 2013

Believe it or not we are still busy although we aren’t doing a lot of trips. We have some big projects in the works that will make the North Platte Lodge and The Reef Fly Shop able to offer even more great services at our 2 great locations. We are really excited! The lodge is already getting very busy for next season. We are almost out of full lodge spots for spring/summer. For those wondering about 2013 reservation confirmations I will have those out within a couple weeks.

We do offer Gift Certificates and they make a good Christmas gift!

Fishing reports are pretty much the same. Monday was very nice with little wind but other than that we are on a stretch of a big blow. With these winds come very warm temps so it can be pretty nice on the river if you find a protected spot. The fish are still eating with no hesitation so that isn’t a problem. Trent was at Miracle Mile the other day and had great fishing with a slow retrieve of The Reef’s Crawdizzle and trailing one of our new leech patterns that is the little sister of the Goldie Locks. Grey Reef is nymphing well but also lots of streamer activity to enjoy. Near ‘Nuff Sculpins, Goldie, Bergin Buggers and Platte River Spiders. Nymph with Scuds and a midge dropper or if you like the ugly stuff go worms and eggs…and a leech.
