Get Yours Quick: Wyoming Winter Fishing

Central Wyoming weather conditions have settled a bit and today might be your best opportunity to enjoy Grey Reef and Fremont Canyon. Miracle Mile is not such a great idea still. Warmer temps and wind will, and has cooked the snow away rapidly. We are still dealing with progress halting snow drifts all over the Casper and Alcova Wyoming region. Grey Reef angling report had the old school Rusty Scud with a PAL dropper tricking them really good yesterday. Focused on tail outs and soft edges with about 7′ and a BB (sometimes more). Reports of risers yesterday at Fremont Canyon is a brief respite. Midges like the nice part of the day and Fremont Canyon Trout are all too willing to lick them off of the surface.

Last minute Christmas shoppers should call or visit Eric at The Reef Fly Shop. He has a nice selection of goods from top shelf rods and reels, to affordable packages and all the soft goods to keep your Wyoming angler appropriately clothed. Gift Certs can be done up until Christmas Eve and we can deliver merchandise to Casper to make things ultra convenient.
