Go Time!

Well, this is our last official week of winter hours. Starting next week, Monday, March 25 we will be at our normal operating hours. Monday also quicks off the start of the spring flush on Grey Reef. Flows will bump at at midnight, peaking at 4,000cfs, then reducing to 500cfs by 10am. The last day of the flush will be April 3. Based on the silt load the first couple of days are probably going to be a little nasty but per usual expect Upper Grey Reef to bounce back quickly. As far as the weather and fishing right now, you really can’t ask for much better. Surely we will have some more weather headed our way but we’ve really been enjoying our current conditions.

Current fishing and conditions:

GREY REEF: 500cfs. Mostly clear. 4-7ft, indicator to split shot, 1 BB-1 AB. Leeches(natural, brown or olive), UV leeches, reef worms, amber scud, PALs, rhinestones and all-day mays. Getting a decent number to grab the streamer on a slow swing and twitch. Grey Reef is currently open from the Dam to Casper.

FREMONT CANYON: 75cfs. Mostly clear. 4-7ft, indicator to split shot, 1 BB-1 AB. Leeches(natural, brown or black), rhinestone, black RS2, and PALS.

MIRACLE MILE: 550cfs. Mostly clear. 5-7ft, indicator to split shot, 1-2 AB. Leeches(natural, brown or black), HH leech, san juans and various midge stuff. Road conditions to the Mile are good but as always subject to change this time of year. Watch the weather!
