There’s really nothing to say other than, it’s been pretty darn good as of late. Good fishing and we don’t know if you could ask for better river conditions across the board. Grey Reef is still rolling along at 500cfs and we have fishable water from top to bottom. Miracle Mile and Fremont are both running at low flow as well, 550cfs and 80cfs, respectively. The fishing program right now is primarily nymphing but we have had some pretty spectacular dry fly and streamer days mixed in. Reef worms, various leech patterns, eggs, scuds, craneflies, midges an baetis are all on the menu-it really just depends where you’re fishing. Make sure to steer clear of the two closures on upper Grey Reef(Cable to Cable and Ledge Creek confluence to S Gulch), those stretches will re-open May 15 and last but not least make sure to pinch your barbs!
The shop will no longer be selling fishing licenses, so please make sure to have it before you get here.
There have been positive, substantial changes made to our North Platte fishing regs. Make sure you’re up to speed.
