Grey Reef!

Central Wyoming Grey Reef Fly Fishing isn’t skipping a beat during the dog days of summer. Flows are down to 1700cfs and hatches and fish are strong. Midges in blankets, caddis and PMDs. Streamer fishing has been very solid and the tricos are still sitting ducks for podding trout. These fish a month into the trico hatch are pretty clever and you have to engage the game. Do not show up without preparations for drys, streamers and nymphing. All disciplines on the table and you need to be taking advantage of the situation as it presents itself. So much fun! Caddis on the surface late in the days and we have a few fish looking out of the corner of their eye for a big foam attractor…this isn’t widespread however. Our fall season is quickly approaching and we do have some prime September and October spots available. Cottage availability is pretty good but won’t last so jump on spot if you like prime lodging in the best location and the nicest accommodations in the region. RV spots are available and hunters can enjoy “roughing it” in their camper with full hookups and a large bath house.
