Grey Reef and Miracle Mile Fly Fishing Guide Report near Casper,Wyoming

This is a little film from our friends Jay Clementi & Luke Bryan fishing with the North Platte Lodge and The Reef Fly Shop last week

Miracle Mile fishing report is a touch less water and a bunch more fun. Miracle Mile flows are 850cfs and the water is clear, fish are fat and eating nicely. Pheasant tail and foam wing RS2s giving them a reason to move. Streamers also doing a bit of North Platte River magic. The Reef Fly Shop Crawdizzle and ye ol’ Platte River Special.

Central Wyoming fly fishing is second to none and Grey Reef tops the chart. Short stealthy rigs required in this clear and very lightly vegetated late summer season. Grey Reef fishing report is excellent with Trico dry fly fishing in the AM, Caddis dry fly fishing in the PM and midges, scuds, leeches and caddis throughout the day. Flows at Gray Reef are 100cfs and the water condition is so clear and amazing I can’t keep my eyes off of it. Streamers should be employed for those will to pay some dues. Moral of the story here is bring all gear and prepare to be wowed.

Fremont Canyon is excellent as well and the dry dropper caddis rigs in the rock gardens are so fun. Clear and 75 cfs just watch your step!
