Grey Reef has been dropped to 500cfs and is fishing very well. The clarity improves the further you move downstream but the temps increase at the same rate. Our guests have landed some very nice fish on the upper in the past couple days. Psuedos will provide afternoon magic so look for pods of risers along the edges in tight riffles late in the day. Midges, caddis, scuds, leeches, worms, psuedos, crawdads, etc all producing with nymph rigs. Streamers are getting a workout and this will improve as we progress into November. Goldies, Peacock Buggers, Crawdizzle, Dungeons, Home Invaders and the old faithfuls of the OBS and Near Nuff Sculpin…or what ever you like to fish really.
Miracle Mile is at 1000cfs and also fishing really well. More sizable fish posing for captured memories this week. Bigger junk works at the Mile but don’t discount real bugs including midge/baetis stuff and well as soft hackled caddis late in the day.
October is official Big Fish month on Grey Reef. Pack the big guns with a sink tip and floating line and spend a few days with our unequalled guide staff. Tons of private access, the most experience guide staff. awesome lodging options and the best location possible. What more could you ask for?
