Grey Reef Fishing Conditions

Central Wyoming has had great weather the past couple days. Feels good to be in shorts and flip flops! This eve we are going to be smacked back into reality with a significant winter storm approaching. We could see 6″+ of snow by midday on Sunday.

Fishing has been excellent on nymph rigs. Midge pupae and baetis nymphs are getting plenty of attention. Spawn is in progress to please take care of the trout. Streamers are getting some play as well. Baetis activity will blossom in the coming week and emerger rigs will be impressive. Clip the eggs and worms, replace with bugs, shorten your leader and try the most exciting nymph fishing there is. Love spring Baetis!
