Grey Reef Fishing Report

Fishing has been off the charts. Grey Reef in particular is very productive with both nymph and streamer rigs. Our guests have been complaining about tired arms and sore spots on their ribs from jamming the butt of the rod into their chest for addition support when fighting fish. We like those kinds of complaints! Soft hackled hair’s ears and yellow sallie patterns with a PMD or midge dropper has been a great rig. The midge hatches are insane right now and the yellow sallies and PMDs are still mediocre but gathering steam. This will make things VERY interesting in the coming weeks. Dry fly fishing could be really good again this year. The other wild card are millers, there are so many moths this year that they are being targeted when they accidentally find themselves in the water. Interestingly, we found a number of baetis adults recently. Early fall or late spring??

Miracle Mile and Fremont Canyon are both fishing well but no where near as good as the Reef.

NPL has a good one room spot coming up this next week. Come on a short notice adventure, you will be impressed. We will even discount this one so call for more info.

The Reef Cottages are in full swing and the feedback has been very positive. We are really excited with how the project has turned out. RV sites are also now available so book a super convenient space with great views and easy access to the water.
