Woke this morning to absolutely perfect fishing conditions. A little cool, but zero wind! Favorable reports are coming in from everyone who has fished the Grey Reef section of the North Platte River in the last few days. Good numbers of healthy trout are being caught on both streamers and nymphs. I would not be surprised to see some top water action if the wind stays down, which it is supposed to do through tomorrow. Floating to Lusby is still productive and with cooler temps the clarity should be good all the way to Government Bridge. Floating below that may be iffy as a few places are still iced over bank to bank. It’s about as good as it gets right now on the North Platte. Why aren’t you here?
