Another weekend is drawing to a close and the fishing remains solid on all parts of the North Platte River. The Miracle Mile was steady yesterday and clarity good. Flows have been stable at around 6500 cfs. Large San Juans and big stonefly or crayfish patterns worked well once you got the depth and weight right. Be sure to check the flows before venturing out as it will most likely come up this week. Fremont Canyon/Cardwell producing some good fish on midge patterns and PMDs. Some surface activity can be had when the wind isn’t nuking. As far as Grey Reef is concerned its the same ole same ole. Leeches, Midges, Reef worms, PMD’s and Yellow Sallie patterns are putting fish in the boat. We had some guide boats do the bridge to Sechrist float yesterday and the fishing was steady and the clarity improving greatly. Dark leech/worm/RS2 combos did the bulk of the damage and large darker hued streamers produced as well. We are keeping our fingers crossed that the Bureau of Rec gives us some water this week. We’ll keep you posted!
