Great weather and fishing so far this week. Flows were bumped again yesterday at Grey Reef to 2900 cfs and the trout love it. Midge and small worm patterns like the Reef’s Lazy and Mayhem are fooling the fish until about noon, then PMD’s and Yellow Sallies until 3:00 pm or so. Clarity is very good now at Government Bridge, with a little bit of color at Sechrist. This stretch should fish well by weeks end. Fremont Canyon is up to 1000 cfs and the streamer bite has been pretty good. Nymphing above the bridge in the slower water is also producing with worms and leeches. The dry fly bite at the Miracle Mile is still on and should continue for a few more days. Fishing above the bridge is best if you are looking for some top water action. Below the bridge nymphing with worms, leeches and stoneflies is the way to go. The weather forecast is pretty good for this weekend. You should be here fishing!
