Grey Reef Fishing Report-The Spawn

So…with the flush slated to end on Wednesday, March 26th, we are the brink of the rainbow spawn on the Grey Reef section of the North Platte River.  Courtesy of the annual spring flush and management regime of Grey Reef, we have one of the best tailwaters in the Western United States.  Upper Grey Reef(Grey Reef dam-Government Bridge) is all and all self sustaining and the spring spawn is essential to our “wild” rainbow trout fishery.  That being said PLEASE do not walk on or near the spawning beds or “redds” on Grey Reef, Fremont, Miracle Mile etc.  PLEASE give these fish a chance to successfully spawn!
