Grey Reef Fly Fishing Report

So we’ve had the first real cold snap of the fall!!  It was nice to see some moisture along with colder temperatures.  As for the fishing, it’s awesome!  The past few days have had some of the best dry fly fishing we have ever seen on Grey Reef in the fall.  Psuedos and baetis hatches consumed the upper river and the fish were there to greet them.  Seth even mentioned, “that was one of the biggest hatches I have ever seen, I’m pretty sure every fish in the river was up.”

The Miracle Mile and Fremont have been fishing good as well, nothing like Grey Reef but good nonetheless.  Stones, leeches and worms are at the top of the menu on the Mile…but we have done well on small RS2s, PTs, and scuds.
