Grey Reef looks good and the fishing is HOT!

Grey reef is looking good again! The Platte is flowing at 800 CFS and looks good down to and a little past Government bridge. Fishing has been awesome with fish really going after baetis, our Mayhem Midge, foam post RS2, and a Barr’s emerger have been some of our best bugs.As a point fly we’ve been liking a pine squirrel leech or a deep purple. All of our tailwaters fished great this weekend, the Mile was good using pats rubber legs, the afterbay was just full of fish eating midges, and Fremont was on fire throwing a mix of baetis and midge patterns. A cream zebra midge or the Reef’s maggot midge above a RS2 has been our most productive rig up there. With the rain we’re supposed to get this week the baetis hatch should be crazy. The fishing is back on and now is the time to be up here!
