Central Wyoming is receiving a surge of water starting a few hours ago. Scroll down to check out the Grey Reef river flow chart. This water will be moved to Glendo and carry a bunch of sediment from the upper reaches so our healthy population of wild rainbows can get their spawning accomplished. This will happen for the next 10 days and creates some unique fly fishing opportunities. Don’t miss the spring flush it is a really cool event and the fishing is great. Speaking of spawning, the redds are not a place to target fish. Leave them alone and go after legitimately eating trout in the runs.
Looks like the Casper and Alcova region could see a day of moist conditions. A little rain never hurt anybody and we really need the moisture. However, our snowpack is looking solid in the drainages that impact us the most.
