Grey Reef Winter?

Fishing reports were very strong yesterday and there were a few very large rainbows who hesitated momentarily, in the grasp of the lucky Grey Ref angler, for some photos. Conditions have been nothing short of spectacular. Yesterday was mostly calm and 60* with clear water and willing fish. As I look out the window this AM it has finally started to snow at 7AM. Big wet flakes and we will take all that we can get. Although the NOAA snowpack report still lists our critical drainages at 85-95% it has been a bit unnerving to have such nice conditions for a month.

We have had quite a few guide trips out this week and plenty of guests enjoying the cottages. While it has been nice for business we would really rather get blitzed with snow and have the comfort of solid water conditions…we won’t complain about shoveling we promise!
