Indian summer

November 1 is almost here and the weather continues to be extremely mild.  We have been on several weeks of 60s, 70s for highs and the extended forecast doesn’t show it changing in the next week.

As for the fishing, our ridiculous dry fly fishing we saw in September/early October has tapered off a bit.  But we are still getting some decent dry fly activity when the bugs pop.  We are starting to see some pretty darn good streamer days.  Especially when we have a little bit of overcast.  Smaller seems to be the key, with most of our guides/guests using bugger style patterns in sizes 6 and 8.  Top colors have leaned towards the darker side; olive, black and/or brown.
