Weather is amazing right now and the fishing matches. We are dry and warm but I doubt it will last. Winter might whack us a touch later this year? March and April tend to be our wet months and while we would like it to happen now(…uhmmm…skiing) we will take it whenever it chooses to grace us. One thought of advice for Grey Reef this year: be prepared for rising fish…any time and any place. We are already fishing dries…
Katherine, Trent and I just met with the designer to pick tile, counter tops, flooring etc. Things are going to look very nice. I am so excited to see the project happen. We’ve been scheming for several years and can’t help but think we will have the most inviting accommodations in central Wyoming. North Platte Lodge is still going to focus on the fishing and fun but the digs will be several click north. Cottages will be big, modern and ultra comfortable. You will want to drive the extra 25 minutes from Alcova even if your business is in Casper, just to stay in these buildings. RV sites will allow travelers to have hookups and a big bath house in a really cool spot. Our sites aren’t going to be configured in the “stack ’em in like cord wood” style. Expect more of a traditional forest service campground feel.
