Both Grey Reef and Fremont have gone up in flows since our last report. From what we are hearing Nebraska is pretty darn dry so we aren’t expecting flows, especially on Grey Reef, to go down any time soon. Fishing and water conditions remain good/great as we start to make our way out of the spring and head into summer. Before you know it PMDs, sallies and caddis will be going full bore. As of right now, we are throwing a little bit of everything as you can see below and with the increased flows banks are starting look pretty good!

If you are planning on heading this way make sure to buy your license before you arrive.

Current fishing and conditions:

GREY REEF: 3,300cfs. Clear/mostly clear to Casper and beyond. 3-7ft, indicator to split shot, 1 #4-1 AB. NYMPHS: Leeches(natural,brown or olive), UV leeches, San Juan worm(red or purple) mayhem midge, grey foam-wing RS2, macgruber, juju baetis, Barr’s emerged, big bear baetis, poxy PMD, cdc case PMD, bh head trans cranefly, and all day mays. STREAMERS: rusty t, goldie, articulated goldie, butcher.

FREMONT CANYON: 900cfs. Mostly clear. 3-7ft, indicator to split shot, 1-3 BB. Leeches(natural, brown or black), reef worm, brassie, foam-wing RS2, all-day may(black and olive) and mayhem midges.

MIRACLE MILE: 2,500cfs +/-. Mostly clear. 5-7ft, indicator to split shot, 1 BB-1 AB. NYMPHS: Leeches(natural, brown or black), HH leech, san juan(red or wine), orange scud, pheasant tail, and mayhem midge(grey or black), foam-wing RS-2. STREAMERS: rusty t, goldie, peanut envy(black), slayer.
