N. Platte Fishing Report / Grey Reef

A fast moving winter storm moved into the area overnight bringing about an inch of wet snow and blustery NW winds .  The forecast is for the precipitation to end but the winds will continue to intensify throughout the day. Gusts to 40 mph + will make things interesting whether you are wading or floating.  Fishing the Mile or the river below Government Bridge is not advisable as the road conditions in both areas will be treacherous.  Fishing will be good below Grey Reef dam and at Fremont Canyon and you should be able to get a little relief from the wind in both areas.  Tomorrow’s weather promises to be better with temps in the 50’s and sun!  Keep your fingers crossed!
