North Platte Fishing Report

We have been in a great weather pattern and spectacular fishing pattern. Early AM has been consistent and plentiful but mid to late AM welcomes the baetis and the fishing becomes amazing. Light, short rigs with a number of different baetis emerger patterns have been doing well. We are replacing flies regularly due to them getting so chewed up they disintegrate. We have had some good dry fly activity and it has been a daily fad at Fremont. The Mile is doing well and the flows are up a touch, thankfully. The Mile is awfully busy however.

We are very busy at the lodge and with trips out of the shop and couldn’t thank everybody enough. We hope to restore a little credibility and make expedited progress with regard to the cottages at TRFS. They are very cool and will serve to provide the nicest nightly lodging in Alcova and Casper. Staycations for locals will get you a little closer to recreation while enjoying great accommodations. The area has many fishing opportunities, hiking and mountain biking, boating and jet skiing at the lakes, historical and geological sites, the beach at Alcova etc etc.
