North Platte Fishing Report

What a beautiful weekend on the North Platte River, Wyoming!  Temperatures in the 40s and very little wind.  From all the reports we recieved fishing was good, great at Grey Reef, Miracle Mile and Fremont Canyon.  The key right now definitely  has to do with concentrating on the tailouts and slow, deep flats.  Granted you can pick up a few fish mid-run or in the seams…the slow, deep stuff is the ticket.  Water temperatures are still way down on Grey Reef, Miracle Mile and Fremont Canyon…the fish are still holding in their winter pattern.  We streamer fished below Lusby for a few hours on Saturday and without question, the slower the better.  Otherwise we started with a goldie, no grabs but once we switched to black patterns(i.e. black sex dungeon) it was on!
