Here we go! Flows have been bumped up on all three tailwaters. We are in for another big water year and we are excited! Fish love big water, food is abundant and the fish pack on the pounds. Flows should stay the same for the next few days but will soon start increasing again until we reach our summer high.
Grey Reef-3000 CFS- We have guides floating the upper section today and the fishing has been great! The water is off color but the fish are still on the feed, hot head leeches, pine squirrel leeches, annelids, and san juan worms have all been catching fish. 5-6 ft indicator to weight with 1 or 2 BB’s has been a good setup. We have been staying out of the heavy current and just fishing the softer, slower water. Everything below lusby is still dirty and will take time to clear up.
Fremont/Cardwell-500 CFS- The flows are up and will continue to rise, don’t let the high water scare you off. Just like the Reef the fish are hanging out in the slow water next to the main runs. Annelids like the Reef worm or a Deep Purple followed up by a RS2 has been good! Streamer fishing is also picking up, lots of big fish have been caught on streamers in the past few days!
Miracle Mile-5000 CFS- The road is in much better shape now that it has dried out a little bit and the fishing has been consistently good. Leeches, Worms, Pat’s Rubber legs, and RS2’s have all been producing fish. Same thing here, fish the soft water, the fish don’t want to be out in the main current.
We will keep updating our reports as the flows and conditions change, if you have any questions don’t hesitate to stop by the shop or give us a call!
