It’s big fish time on The Reef, we are seeing fish over 25″ come to the net almost every day! All of them are eating worms. We have been throwing san juan worms in all shapes, sizes, and colors and all of them have been working. We have been focusing mainly on the banks, most of the bigger fish have been caught there. Flows on the Reef went down to 6,000 cfs today and are slated to go to 5,000 by tomorrow.
Fishing on all three tailwaters has been excellent, fremont is still high but worth the drive up to see the dam spilling over. Miracle Mile has also been fishing well, San Juan worms are still our best fly out there. We have been mostly focusing our efforts on the Reef. Big healthy fish and lots of em! Fishing is good from the dam down to Bessemer Bend Bridge. San Juans and annelids have been the name of the game! Any spot you can find where the current drops off (banks and inside corners) has been fishing great.
Hope to see everyone out here soon and as always, if you have any questions drop by or give us a call!
