When big winter weather events make there way through Wyoming, Alcova usually ends up on the short end of the stick. When everyone else gets a foot of snow we might see 3″. Well, not this time. This weekend we saw anywhere from 12″-18″ across our little valley and it was a welcome sight. Not the best for ongoing construction project but good for the country. As for the fishing over the weekend, it remains solid. Nymph rigs, 6-8ft, 1-2BB seem t0 be the ticket…along with micro worms, deep purple, SH scud, UV leeches, and various midge patterns. We continue to pick up a good number of fish stripping streamers on goodies, articulated goodies, olive yummy’s, and medusa’s.
