North Platte Fly Fishing Report

We have to say the past few days have been ridiculous!!!  Nymphing on the upper is just about as good as it gets.  Starting around 11am when the baetis and midges get to poppin’ our guides have been shifting over to light emerger rigs and having awesome fishing.  We had one guide boat get into them on dries yesterday afternoon, landing five fish, one being the largest of angler Dave’s fly fishing career.  To top things off the streamer fishing from Gov. Bridge to Casper has been pretty awesome.  A goldie and/or olive near-nuff sculpin with a black peacock bugger trailer has been the ticket!

FYI The Two-Fly tournament starts tomorrow so keep in mind there will be 30+ boats floating Grey Reef to Sechrist.
