North Platte Fly Fishing Report

Where to start…after what was one of the largest fall snow storms we’ve seen in quite some time, we are on our way to recovery.  With 12″-16″ hitting the Alcova area and 2-3′ in the local mountains, runoff has become an issue on Grey Reef.  As of this afternoon EVERYTHING below Government Bridge is blown out!  The upper river is slightly off-color but holding it’s own.  It should only improve from this point on!  Regardless all of our guide boats on upper Grey Reef yesterday came back with great reports and very pleased guests.  The Miracle Mile road is in pretty decent shape considering and the fishing is good.  We landed browns, rainbows, carp and walleye on the articulated goldie during a brief wadefishing session this morning!
