North Platte Fly Fishing Report-Grey Reef

Some much needed moisture has found it’s way to Central Wyoming over the past week.  We have had several storms in the Alcova area that have brought a fair amount of moisture…enough to really wet the ground and muddy up the lower river at times.  We have reached the point now that we have guide boats on the water daily and all reports are coming back good!!  Upper Grey Reef has been solid!  Various leech patterns, deep purple, and several baetis (jujubaetis, mercury baetis, foam-wing RS2) have been the nymphs of choice and we are doing well at time throwing streamers(art. goldie, obs, urchin bugger) on a slow-med. strip.  FYI It looks like we have another cold front moving into the area at the start of the week, so be prepared!
