North Platte River Fishing Report

Not only are the temps hot, so is the fishing!  All parts of the river are producing respectable numbers of trout.  The Miracle Mile seems to be back!  Golden Stones are coming off in good numbers and the top water action remains solid, when there is some cloud cover. Big attractor dries with large stonefly droppers are are getting it done.  Big leech and san juan worms are also working well.  Midge patterns are working at Fremont Canyon, and surface action is on if the wind is not too bad.  Griffiths Gnats and even small royal wulffs are effective patterns.  The nymph and streamer bite is also good.  Here on Grey Reef not much has changed.  Midges, leeches, worms, pmds and yellow sallies are all putting fish in the boat.  Clarity below Government Bridge is still off a bit all the way to town, but fish can been had on large streamer patterns like sex dungeons and home invaders thrown to  the bank.  The fishing should remain good everywhere until flows increase again.
