North Platte River Fishing Report

Fishing has remained pretty solid for the most part this week.  The seasonal weed growth has made some areas on the Grey Reef section a little challenging, but with adjustments to your depth and weight good fish can still be taken.  Below Government bridge has been most floaters choice now and the trout are responding well to leeches, worms, RS2 foam posts, CDC Pheasant tails, CDC Prince nymphs and various caddis patterns.  We had boats at the Miracle Mile a couple of times this week and the fishing was good on big worm patterns, leeches and big streamers like the Reef’s Goldie, Sparkle Minnows and Sex dungeons.  The forecast for the rest of the weekend is for breezy conditions with below normal temps, so if you are heading out be prepared for some wind!
