North Platte River Fishing Report

What great weather we have been experiencing the last 3 days!  The fishing reflects it!  Everything from the Miracle Mile to Fremont Canyon to Grey Reef  has been producing good numbers of fish.  Hot flies have been Pine Squirrel leeches in the darker hues, Otter eggs in apricot and tangerine, the Deep Purple and Reef worms.  Clarity below Government Bridge is still bad, but hopefully that will improve soon.  No word yet on when the river’s flow will increase for the summer.  The Miracle Mile flow has been 1500 cfs all week and clarity there is excellent.  Temps in the 50’s and 60’s have been forecast through Saturday with a chance for a significant snow on Sunday.  We will keep you posted!
