North Platte River Fishing Report

Good news!  Flows at Grey Reef have been bumped to 1000 cfs and the Bureau of Reclamation has informed us to expect periodic increases in the next week or so.  No schedule has been decided on at this time.  The Miracle Mile dropped to 4300 cfs yesterday and we have not heard why.  Problems with a unit in Kortes Dam is the likely culprit.  Flows there will be anyone’s guess over the next few days. Be sure to check for the current conditions before venturing out.   As the flows increase on Grey Reef expect some clarity/floating debris issues here as well as below Government Bridge. Neither should be long lived.  We have been plagued by high winds all week and though it is not much fun to row in, the trout pay little attention and fishing remains very productive.   PMD patterns are still hot and the Yellow Sallies are becoming more numerous with each passing day.  We have all the patterns here at the shop.  Stop in and I will give you the tools for a successful outing.
