Great reports came in from everywhere yesterday. Just take your pick. Grey Reef, the Miracle Mile and Fremont Canyon all are producing good numbers of trout. We are starting to see fish staging for the upcoming spawn. Actual redds have been seen in the Cardwell section of the N. Platte. At Grey Reef, no redds have been reported yet, but the trout positions in the runs and tail outs are evidence that things are going to start here soon as well. Floating the upper section is probably still the most productive of the three and those out today will enjoy calm winds for at least the first half of the day. We have boats on the water today and throwing big streamers for larger fish will be their plan of attack. I anticipate some big trout will be boated! This is winter fishing at its best!
