North Platte River / Grey Reef Fishing Report

Things are in fine shape here on Grey Reef .  Clarity is good and the fishing is borderline ridiculous!  Leeches and worms are the way to go now with a midge dropper in the morning then a baetis pattern below in the afternoon.  Visibility is improving daily below Government Bridge and it won’t be long before we’ll be fishing all the way to Casper.  The flows are at 3500 cfs at the Miracle Mile and expected to increase next week.  We are not sure how high the flows will be yet, but it may be out of play for a bit.  We will keep you informed.  Fremont Canyon is fishing well with good midge and baetis hatches throughout the day.  Surface action has been good when the wind isn’t blowing.   Good weather is forecast for the next several days with temps in the 70’s and 80’s and light winds.  Why aren’t you here fishing?
