The Grey Reef section of the North Platte River is in great shape and fishing well. Reports from our guides have been very good. The normal fare of leeches, reef worms, midge and baetis patterns are all producing with regularity. Clarity is fine to Lusby, but still very dirty below Government Bridge. Flows at the Miracle Mile have been bumped up to 1500 cfs which will make floating there much easier, but the wading will a bit more difficult in some of the runs. The fishing has been very good in Fremont Canyon and steady in the Cardwell section but be prepared to have plenty of company. Pressure has been very high there all spring. Mild temps are forecast for weekend and next week looks very promising with highs in the 60’s! The fishing will only improve from here!
