On The Drop

Well folks, we are one drop away from winter flows. Grey Reef is now sitting at 800cfs and we are expecting the next and final drop to happen in the coming weeks. The dry fly thing has kicked up a few notches, with pods of fish up on tricos throughout the morning and some hopper activity in the afternoon. Nymphing is good if you’re not in the mood to chase risers. The streamer fishing has been good/great depending on the day. This really is such a fun time of year! As far as the Mile is concerned, fishing has been ok. Some fish on dries and the nymphing has been average. If our crew had their pick right now, it would definitely be Grey Reef.

If you are planning on heading this way make sure to buy your license before you arrive.
