Well, the flush is over and Grey Reef is looking good! We currently have fishable conditions the whole way down, from the Dam to Casper and beyond. The weather at this moment is nothing short of amazing, mid 70s and a light breeze at 15-10mph W/SW . Is it really March? Of course the fishing right now is pretty darn good, with nymphing and streamers being the program. Standard spring fare-midges, leeches, reef worms and scuds being at the top of the menu. As you would expect spawning has really started to kick off so PLEASE be respectful of these fish and their REDDs and do your best to leave them alone. Mile road conditions are good and based on the long range forecast, they should stay that way.
The shop will no longer be selling fishing licenses, so please make sure to have it before you get here.
There have been positive, substantial changes made to our North Platte fishing regs. Make sure you’re up to speed.
