Well folks, things are finally starting to slow down here in Central Wyoming. The lodge is officially closed for the year and we’d like to thank all of out guests for another great season!! As for the shop, we are still clipping along, doing some day trips/cottage stays for the next few weeks…or at least until the weather shows up. Fishing as you would expect is good and we have a pile of fishable water. Grey Reef is in great shape from the Dam to Casper and with Pathfinder so low, the Mile has substantially more river miles than normal. Nymphs, dries and streamers are all on the menu depending on the day and stretch of water you are on. Needless to say, it’s a good time of year to be on the water!

If you are planning on heading this way make sure to buy your license before you arrive.

Current fishing and conditions:

GREY REEF: 500cfs. Mostly clear to Casper. 2-6ft, indicator to split shot, #4-1 AB. NYMPHS: Leeches(natural,brown or olive), UV leech, amber scud, foam-wing RS2, PAL, spanish perdition, pulsating emerger, GS mayhem(black). DRIES: para adams, purple rooster. STREAMERS: rusty-t, goldie, articulated goldie, peanut envy(black).

FREMONT CANYON: 80cfs. Mostly clear. 3-7ft, indicator to split shot, 1-2 BB. Leeches(natural, brown or black) pheasant tail, foam wing RS2, rhinestone, tan scud, amber scud. DRIES: para adams, purple rooster.

MIRACLE MILE: 550cfs +/-. Mostly clear. 4-7ft, indicator to split shot, 1 BB-1 AB. NYMPHS: Leeches(natural, brown or black), UV leech, san juan(red or wine), orange scud, mayhem midge(grey or black), foam-wing RS-2. STREAMERS: rusty-t, goldie, peanut envy(black), slayer.
