Snow!

We got a pretty good dose yesterday and still trickling down. This snow is pretty darn wet and we couldn’t be happier. As a result the roads are terrible. Very slick so be careful.

We had anglers out on the water yesterday and production was very good. The fish always seem to get frenzied during a low pressure event and yesterday was no exception. Nymphing with scuds and midges was solid but the guys had a fun time stripping The Reef Fly Shop’s NEW articulated Goldie as well as the NEW Charcoal Bugger. Stop in the shop to check ’em out,

Phones have been busy and we thank you for that! 2013 lodge dates are dwindling for the earlier part of the season but there are still great options available. We booked a lot of evenings in the new cottages yesterday as well. I also fielded a couple calls about advanced booking for RV spots. The RV spots are the last to to receive full attention so it may be a few more weeks into the season before they are ready…hoping May 1st is the worst case scenario.

We are also kicking around the idea of transforming the barn into an informal gathering spot where we can watch movies, relax and enjoy some socializing. If you have a group gathering you are thinking about hosting let us know. A screen for viewing slideshows, movies or whatever will be available. The barn will also feature a patio so the space will flow outside if and when weather permits. We will have camp sites, cottages, fly shop and  a gathering spot in the most convenient location in the area. Needless to say, we are excited!

Word on the street is we will have a Grand Opening Party with a great local bluegrass band entertaining.
