Other than the occasional blast of cooler/colder weather, it continues to stay pretty nice here in Central Wyoming. Not that atypical for November, we still have fishable water all the way to Casper and beyond. Granted the water temperatures have cooled off substantially, slowly putting our fish into more of a winter pattern. Nymphing and streamers are most definitely producing on Grey Reef but don’t rule out dry fly fishing with the right conditions. For those of you asking the fishing at the Mile has been average and at this point the road conditions are good but we all know that can change quickly.

If you are planning on heading this way make sure to buy your license before you arrive.

Current fishing and conditions:

GREY REEF: 500cfs. Clear to Glenrock. 2-6ft, indicator to split shot, 1 BB-3 AB. Leeches(natural,brown or olive), UV leeches, amber scud, grey scud, mayhem midge, grey foam-wing RS2, spanish perdigon, purple rooster, Brook’s sprout.

FREMONT CANYON: 75cfs. Slightly off colored. 4-7ft, indicator to split shot, 1-3 AB. Leeches(natural, brown or black), reef worm, brassie, foam-wing RS2, all-day may and FB pheasant tails.

MIRACLE MILE: 530cfs. Mostly clear. 4-7ft, indicator to split shot, 1-3 AB. Leeches(natural, brown or black), HH leech, san juan(red or wine), Pat’s rubber legs, chocolate foam-wing RS2 and cdc pheasant tails.
