Well, the Grey Reef flush kicked off a few days ago and things are going as planned. Obviously a little different schedule this year, but it’s happening. For those that don’t know, they are running the flush from 7:00am to 1:30pm through this Thursday(3/12) and the last two days(Friday and Saturday) will take place from 3:00am to 10:00am. This should get the gravel nice and clean for the spring spawn. We would NOT advise being in the water as the levels rise. Other than that, if you are planning on hitting the water post flush, plan on having the right patterns-leeches, reef worms, san Juan’s, scuds, egg patterns and midges should all be in your box. The same fare can be said if you’re planning hitting the Mile or Fremont. Road conditions to the Miracle Mile are good at this time.
The shop will no longer be selling fishing licenses, so please make sure to have it before you get here.
There have been positive, substantial changes made to our North Platte fishing regs. Make sure you’re up to speed.
