Well folks, we are seven days into the Grey Reef flush and things are going good! Three more days and it should be wrapped up. The upper river is in great shape and the fishing has been solid. Our guide crew has been fishing a little longer and heavier in the mornings, pitching a variety of leeches/worms/scuds. Once the flows subside and things warm up we’ve been switching over to more midge stuff, shortening up our rigs. Once we get out of the flush we expect things to only get better as we head into baetis(BWO) time. Here we go!!

Current fishing and conditions:

GREY REEF: 4,000-500cfs. Mostly clear to Lusby. 4-7ft, indicator to split shot, 1 BB-3 AB. NYMPHS: Leeches(natural,brown or olive), UV leeches, amber scud, grey scud, tan scud, mayhem midge, grey foam-wing RS2, spanish perdition and all day mays. STREAMERS: rusty t, goldie, articulated goldie, slayer.

FREMONT CANYON: 75cfs. Slightly off colored. 3-7ft, indicator to split shot, 1-3 AB. Leeches(natural, brown or black), reef worm, brassie, foam-wing RS2, all-day may(black and olive) and mayhem midges.

MIRACLE MILE: 530cfs. Mostly clear. 5-7ft, indicator to split shot, 1-3 AB. NYMPHS: Leeches(natural, brown or black), HH leech, san juan(red or wine), orange scud, chocolate foam-wing RS2 and mayhem midge(grey). STREAMERS: rusty t, goldie, peanut envy(black), slayer.
