Well, Grey Reef experienced a very brief period with flows in the 2,000+ cfs range; flows went up for a day or two and came right back down. We are currently sitting at 1,425 cfs as of this morning. We also got smacked by a couple of substantial rain events that turned the river into a nice shade of Yoo-hoo. At the current flows, it didn’t take Grey Reef long to clear up, and the lower section is currently starting to get itself back into shape. Other than the muddy water blip, fishing has been pretty awesome, and we continue to have lots of options. Dries, nymphs, and streamers are all in play depending on the day and stretch of water. As far as Grey Reef hatches are concerned, we are seeing tricos, sallies, caddis, PMDs, and midges. As for the other two spots, Fremont and Miracle Mile, flows are up to 2,100 cfs (Fremont) and holding steady at 550 cfs (Mile). Mile is in good shape with some stones coming off and water conditions in Fremont are a little off-colored but still very much fishable.
