First things first, a little update on water conditions and what not. The voluntary closure is still in effect for Lusby downstream to Dave Johnson power plant, meaning no fishing past noon. As of today(8/10/26), Grey Reef to Lusby, Miracle Mile and Fremont Canyon have no restrictions. Current flows are as follows; Grey Reef-800cfs, Miracle Mile-550cfs and Fremont Canyon-75cfs. Per usual for this time of year, the tricos are going big and caddis are filling in the gaps, along with a little bit of hopper activity. Dries, nymphs and streamers are all on the menu-making for some fun fishing! And as always, minimize handling the fish and try to keep them in the water on these hotter days…although the extended forecast shows cooler weather is on the way!
